TrackR is seeking an experienced Android software engineer to help lead our growing mobile team in our downtown Santa Barbara office. This opportunity will afford a lot of exposure to a variety of technological components at a quickly growing company in the exciting world of consumer electronics. Looking for passionate individuals who are ready to take on the challenge of fast paced releases with important company implications.
As an Android software engineer your role will be pivotal to the development and maintenance of our Android mobile app as well as working closely with the CEO, hardware and server teams to bring new products to market.
This position's responsibilities include:
Collaborating directly with the CEO and product managers to plan and implement software.
Technical and team leadership.
Delivering efficient, modular, maintainable and testable code.
Architecting interactions with a cloud endpoint and firmware.
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalant
2+ years developing Android applications
Expert in OOD, MVC and data structures.
Must be self motivated and be able to multi-task with little supervision
Experience working with RESTful APIs using XML and JSON
Comfortable with Git, Agile development, and TDD
Familiarity with bluetooth communication is a plus.
